• 05/2003 Bagdad falls. Bush says: "end of major combat operations" in Iraq.
• 12/2003 Saddam Hussein is captured.
• 06/2004 The United States transferred limited sovereignty to new government.
• 01/2005 Election for a Iraq government to draft a permanent Iraq constitution.
• 10/2005 Iraq voters approve new Constitution and establish an Islamic Theocracy.
